COMMUNION BREAD We need people to sign up to provide communion bread.

FAMILY FRIENDLY ZONE - Families with small children need easy access to the exits. We would like to keep the last two rows of pews in the church available for them. Please keep this in mind when selecting your seating.

SCRIP CARD SALES will take place on the first Sunday of each month after service.

UPDATED CHURCH DIRECTORY - If you or a family member have had a change of phone number, email address, or regular mail address in the last two years, please make sure the office is aware of the change. Thank you

NEW PARSONAGE: If you would like to donate money to help build the new parsonage, please make your check out to Cross Lutheran Parsonage Building Fund. Your donation will then be applied to a separate account designated for the building of a new parsonage. Thank you

FITNESS CLASSES are held here in our gym on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. This is an 8 week program. For more information contact instructor Jeannie Putman at 989-529-6164.

FOOD PANTRY - Children need a nutritious start to the school day. Cereal, oatmeal, pancake mix and syrup are good options. Currently there is a shortage of Peanut Butter. Always in need are toiletries and personal items. Please place the items in the tote inside the East Door Entrance. Anything you can donate is helpful. Thank you.

COMPASSION EVANGELICAL HOSPITAL is in a critical financial situation. Due to the poor economy in Guinea and patients avoiding clinics and hospitals for fear of catching Ebola, hospital revenue is dramatically down. Presently, the WHO estimates that we likely will not achieve control or plateau of the epidemic in West Africa for another 8 or 9 months; the worst case scenarios are catastrophic. To help, you can mail a check to: Compassion Evangelical Hospital, P.O. Box 870, Southfield, MI 48037

QUILTING DAY - Can you tie a knot? If so you are qualified to help put together quilts! Each 2nd Wednesday of the month, we meet in the overflow area at 1 p.m. to put together quilts which are distributed locally as well as around the world. We have MANY which need putting together. Please stop by and help out! MISSING! One of the quilt racks has gone astray. If you know its location, please call the church office. Thank you.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOXESThe weeks are passing by quickly and before we know it, it will be shoebox time! We want to thank everyone who has been generously donating items and gift wrapping shoeboxes! At the present time, we are asking for bar soap, washcloths, and combs. The best deals we have found are 3 bars of soap for $1 at Dollar Tree, 18 washcloths for $4 at Wal-Mart, and 12 combs for $1 at Dollar Tree! Also, if you have any spare time, please take home a few shoeboxes and gift wrap them (wrapping paper is available) and return them to the storage room next week. They need to be wrapped with the lid separate or so the hinged box can still be opened. If you have any questions, contact Lori Smith! Thank you in advance!

BUTTONS, BUTTONS, BUTTONS - If you have spare buttons, any size and any color, please drop them off at the Welcome Center. They will be used to do a project with the Long Term Care residents at Scheurer Hospital. Thank you.

8God saved us by his grace when we believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. - Ephesians 2:8-9 - New Living Translation (NLT)

In this age of being able to practically shop for everything online, sometimes it is necessary for the 'hands-on' experience of actually picking up and examining an item. This is particularly true when considering a new Bible. With so many translations and styles, it is easier to browse through a selection before making a choice.

Living Water Christian Store -
- has a large variety of items to choose from
- is locally owned and managed
- is the closest Christian store

Visit them at www.livingwaterbcmi.com or on Facebook at Living Water Christian Resource Store
