WE HAVE A FAMILY ROOM located off the hallway next to the choir room. It has a changing table, rocking chair, refrigerator, microwave and comfortable furniture. Please feel free to make use of this room!

COMMUNION BREAD We need people to sign up to provide communion bread.

FAMILY FRIENDLY ZONE - Families with small children need easy access to the exits. We would like to keep the last two rows of pews in the church available for them. Please keep this in mind when selecting your seating.

SCRIP CARD SALES will take place on the first Sunday of each month, after service.

NEW PARSONAGE: If you would like to donate money to help build the new parsonage, please make your check out to Cross Lutheran Parsonage Building Fund. Your donation will then be applied to a separate account designated for the building of a new parsonage. Thank you

PIGEON PANTRY - Pastas, sauces, macaroni & cheese and peanut butter are staples that always appreciated and enjoyed by all. Also in need are toiletries and personal items. Please place the items in the tote inside the East Door Entrance. Anything you can donate is helpful. Thank You!

COMPASSION EVANGELICAL HOSPITAL is in a critical financial situation. Due to the poor economy in Guinea and patients avoiding clinics and hospitals for fear of catching Ebola, hospital revenue is dramatically down. Presently, the WHO estimates that we likely will not achieve control or plateau of the epidemic in West Africa for another 8 or 9 months; the worst case scenarios are catastrophic. QUILTING DAY - Can you tie a knot? If so you are qualified to help put together quilts! Each 2nd Wednesday of the month, we meet in the overflow area at 1 p.m. to put together quilts which are distributed locally as well as around the world. We have MANY which need putting together. Please stop by and help out! MISSING! One of the quilt racks has gone astray. If you know its location, please call the church office. Thank you.

CROSS SCHOOL REGISTRATION: If you know of a family interested in enrolling at Cross School, please have them contact Pastor or the school office.

HURON COUNTY THRIVENT FINANCIAL needs member help. We need volunteers to be officers. If we do not have a full list, we will not get any funds to donate for the many projects that are requested every year. Please consider volunteering. Norm Nelson, financial director.

OCC - For April, let's change our focus to dental care. We include in each shoebox gift, a new toothbrush and toothpaste. Many multipacks can be purchased at good prices, Or the next time you visit your dentist, ask for an extra set for a shoebox, or ask the dentist to make a donation of toothpaste and brushes for our church project! We have tried this, and had great success! Bring your donations to the OCC storage room. Thanks so much!

OPEN GYM - On Sunday evenings from 6-8 p.m. the gym will be open for use.

MEN'S BIBLE STUDY will be Tuesday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m. with a potluck dinner. All men and their guest's are welcome! Bring a dish to pass, just munchies or something to drink, there is plenty to share.

GRIEFSHARE is a faith-based study that will meet weekly to help you face the challenges of walking through your grief and move toward rebuilding your life. They will meet Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. at Country Bay Village, Pigeon beginning March 3 and ending May 26. A free meal is provided to participants at 5:30 p.m. Program cost is $10 per person.

SENIORS AND THEIR FAMILIES are welcome at Country Bay Village on April 14 at 2 p.m. for "Don't Stroke Out!" presented by Dr. Ali Khan of Winsor Clinic. Please call 453-4478 to register for this free program.

PLEASE JOIN US in sharing the excitement of a new beginning with Thrivent by attending a free catered dinner & informational session on how every Thrivent Member can apply to sponsor a community project or fundraiser. The dinner will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 123 W. Irwin in Bad Axe on Friday, April 17, at 6 p.m.It is very important that you RSVP by April 13, to Mrs. Sue Roncka at Our Savior Lutheran Church at 269-7642.

MOTOWN DINNER & SHOW will be presented by members of the choir under direction of Beth Elston on April 18th at Cross. Marinated chicken dinner begins at 6:00 p.m. with show to follow at 7:00 p.m. Tickets available from any choir member or the church office. Adults - $14.50; children 5-12 - $7.00; under 5 - free. We will be serving homemade pies. If you would like to bake 1 or 2, please sign up at the welcome desk.

5K WALK/ROCK/BIKE-A-THON Saturday April 18 at St. Paul's Lutheran, Linkville beginning at 10:00 a.m. This is a fundraiser to purchase a defibrillator and support ongoing Youth projects.

THE CROSS MOM2MOM SALE is scheduled for April 25 from 9 am to noon. If you are interested in having a table to sell outgrown children's clothing, toys, books, prom dresses, baby items, etc., crafts, and/or vendors, please call Lori Smith 453-3953 to rent a table at the sale. Also, plan to attend the sale and find some great items!

WOMEN OF FAITH will meet on Saturday, May 16 from 10:00 - noon. The chapter for this study is "Domestic Strength". Please join us!

VBS Looking ahead to VBS this summer! "Jesus is the Rock" will be our theme. We will hopefully be making garden stepping stones as one of our projects. We need your help. We want to begin collecting tin pie plates, plastic saucers, plastic lids from Schwann pails, etc. to use as our molds. We will need about 80 of them. If you have anything you think might work, please talk to Lori Smith or bring them in to the OCC storage room. We will also need cement, glass marbles, shells, rocks, etc. for our designs. If you can help in any way, we would really appreciate it! Also looking for a leader or helpers with this special project! This would be a really special memento of VBS for the children!
