SCHOOL HOT LUNCH PROGRAM - is in need of fresh meat for student meals. Any donations of hamburger, chicken, chuck roast, pork loin, etc. that is USDA approved would be greatly appreciated. Also, fresh apples and oranges would be accepted as students at Cross enjoy fresh fruit with their meals! Thank you for your consideration.
MEALS ON WHEELS - Drivers are needed for Meals on Wheels delivery for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. If you can help, please call Tanya at Scheurer Hospital at 989-453-4480, 8:00 - 5:00 Monday thru Friday.
PIGEON FOOD PANTRY - The Pigeon Food Pantry helps approximately 25+ local people and families each month. For the next few weeks, Cross Church will be collecting items to help replenish their stock. Some items they need: non-perishable food, detergent, personal and feminine hygiene items, bar and hand soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and paper goods. Your donations can be placed in the totes by the desk. Thank you for your generosity to help others in need.
TUITION ASSISTANCE - There are several families in our school that are in need of tuition assistance. The total need is $7,670. If you feel led to give toward this need, checks can be made payable to Cross Lutheran School. In the memo, please write "Scholarship Fund".
COFFEE HOUR SIGN-UP - the new 2020 coffee hour sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the overflow area and available for groups or individuals to sign up and host any coffee hour for the New Year!
THE CEA KRISPY KREME FUNDRAISER - doughnuts will be picked up by parents on Tuesday, February 25” for delivery. The CEA and students appreciate your support greatly!
SHOEBOX COLLECTION - This month, the Cross Mission/ Outreach Ministry would like to remind you to purchase accessories for the upcoming shoebox collection. Watches, sunglasses, hair bows, hair bands, and jewelry, are always a delight for a child! ”l am so happy! Any donations for shoeboxes can be put in our storage room all year long!
LENTEN SERVICES - Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent with Cross Lutheran Church having a service at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26th and continuing with Lenten services every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. through April 1st. There will also be a Potluck prior to the services at 5:30 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, March 4th.
NEW MEMBERS CLASSES - will be offered again in March. Current members are also welcome to attend. Anyone interested, please contact Pastor Glenn or the church office.
SCRIP SALES - Scrip cards will be sold next Sunday, March 1st, following the service.
CROSS ANNUAL FISH FRY - is Friday, March 13th from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. so mark your calendar and tell your friends!

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION is an easy opportunity for you to help support Cross Lutheran School!. Look for the pink Box Top Coupons on hundreds of products, clip, and place in the box outside the church office.
CHOIR AND HAND-BELL CHOIR - meet at 6:30 p.m. and the choir meets at 7:30 p.m. on Mondays. New singers and ringers are welcome! See a choir member or Beth Elston for more information.
HOSTING A COFFEE HOUR - Not only can ministry groups sign up to host a coffee hour, anyone can! The coffee hour you host can be simply juice, coffee, and cookies, or you can offer up a feast of goodies. It's your choice! The earnings can be donated to the fund of your choosing. Also, store-bought cookies, etc. can be put in the cupboard if you would like to donate but not host. To host, just sign up on the Coffee Hour Chart in the Overflow area. ln consideration of those who furnish coffee hour each Sunday after worship, coffee hour will continue until 11:30 only. This allows time to clean up, vacuum, turn off lights, lock doors and still have time with family and other activities. Thank-you.
LIFT HIGH THE CROSS GARDEN - We are offering the opportunity to purchase a brick for the garden. You may purchase a brick for $70 for yourself or a family member. Contact June Sturm for more information at 989-453-2575.
QUILTING DAY - Can you tie a knot? If so you are qualified to help put together quilts! Each 2nd Wednesday of the month, we meet in the overflow area at 1 p.m. to put together quilts that are distributed locally as well as around the world. We have MANY quilts that need to be put together. Please stop by and help out! MISSING! One of the quilt racks has gone astray. If you know its location, please call the church office. Thank you.
WE HAVE A FAMILY ROOM located off the hallway next to the choir room. It has a changing table, rocking chair, refrigerator, microwave, and comfortable furniture. Please feel free to make use of this room!
FAMILY FRIENDLY ZONE - Families with small children need easy access to the exits. We would like to keep the last two rows of pews in the church available for them. Please keep this in mind when selecting your seating.
REGISTRATION - If you know of any family that is interested in a solid Christian Education for their child/children, please ask them to consider Cross Lutheran School. They can contact the office for more information or to register.
